Touch Judge and Assitant Referee course: August 15, NYC

The RRSNY will host a Touch Judge and Assistant Referee training course either August: Sun 15th.

Course Instructor: Doug Syme (EPRU)
Administrator: Paul Bethe (RSVP to pmbethe AT yahoo DOT com)
Time: 10am-4pm (done @ 1pm if only TJ course)
Location: Xavier HS, 30 W 16th St.
Eligibility:
- TJ only - 1 year Playing experience, or other suitable rugby experience and permission of the instructor.
- TJ + AR - Level 1 referee certification

Cost: TJ=$25 , AR= $25 (so $50 for both)
Extras: part of the requirements for a grade of L2 or higher.

The RRSNY was to host a Level 1 Referee clinic Sat Aug 21, but it has been canceled due to low sign-ups and difficulty securing an instructor.

Level 2 referee course: August 21-22, NYC

Midi Rugby rules released by USA Rugby

USA Rugby has released rules for playing 'Midi' rugby, which is U13 tackle.

2010 Game Management Guidelines

USA Rugby has released the Game Management Guidelines for application of the Laws in this Springs competitions.
The focus is games leading to National Championships, but all referees are encouraged to apply these at all levels.

2010 Referee Grading Manual

This is not just for the assessor, but useful for the referee looking to move up, as the criteria for both your grade and the grade above will provide characteristics to work on.

2010 Match Reimbursement Form

Folks, Brad has updated the match reimbursement form for 2010.

You will not need this form for club matches.
Many schools have their own form that you will need to fill out to get reimbursed.
However, please bring a copy of this form to any HS or College matches you do, just in case they do not have their form on site.

Scheduling and Availability

The Master Schedule for Spring 2010 has been published. (Click 'Master Schedule' under the Assignments menu.

Teams: Check your team's schedule and make sure we have the right date/time for all matches.
Tournament directors - make sure your event is on the right date.
Referees Make sure your availability is up to date.

Please return via mail/email to Paul McMenemy, RRSNY treasurer.

Please send a check, or submit payment via PayPal button below, before March 15th, so as not to risk having referees withheld.
